During 29 may the city walls at the Topkapi were demolished.At the same day ,II. Mehmed got into the city and performed the rituel prayers.Acoording to the Ottoman customs the cathedral Ayasofya turned into a mosque.Havariler Church and the others left to the christians.The conquerer of Constantinopolis , II. Mehmed make history as "Fatih Sultan Mehmet".
The old Byzantium Palace between Ayasofya and Hippoddrome, was demolished and despoiled during 1024 Latin occupation.Because of that Byzantiums placed at Blakhernai Palace located at the place where city walls reach Golden Horn.After Fatih had got the city, a castle was founded in Bayezid and the construction of the first Ottoman Palace started.The Big Bazaar was founded below the castle.
At the city which los its old magnificience during the last times of Byzantium, the old structures and city walls were repaired as a first step.The structures of main Ottoman associations began to rise on the on the Byzantium's substructures.Preventing of big water tankswas supplied.Istanbul had the suitable improvement and became the capital city of Ottoman Empire.
The old residents who had left the Byzantium began to move back.With the residents left from earlier conquest, people came from several areas of Anatolia, varios nations, vaios religions create a vividness.The local cultures which imigrants brought to Istanbul ,made the city tissue richer.

The mosques which were built only for sultans and their families and had one more minarets, called éselatin" means plural of sultans.The firs selatin mosque of Istanbul was Fatih Kulliye which was located at the center of the city center in a symmetrical order.the architect of the Kulliye which includes Moslem theologiacl school, health center, bazaar and hammam, was Atik Sinan.Although there were small kulliyes and vizier mosques builted for dynasty members and notable statemen.
