Afyon Museum : It was founded at the first years of the Republic. first it was a dpot where remains were collected. It was opened to public formally at the 10 th annual of republic. The museum was movedto its present building in 1971 where Museum Directorate and Archaeology Museum were located.
Gedik Ahmet Medrese was a depot where ethnographical remains were collected ,untill 1978. Between 1978 and 1994 there had been restoration works. It was opened to poblic as "Turk Islam Remains Museum" in 1995 . But the dense moisture destroyed the remians so they were moved to the depot.
The museum has a very rich collection. There are important remains of Old Bronze, Hittitie, Phyrigie, Lidya, Hellenistic, Rome and Byzantium periods such as marble statues, coins, maind goddess statue and figures.
Zafer Museum: It is located opposite to the "Zafer Monument" and Afyon Castle. It is the place where Baskumatanlik Meydan War is planned and its start order was give. It carries neo-classic properties. It is lika a typical anatolian House. There are 10 rooms at the besemnt and 9 rooms at the second floor.
The building was allotted to Baskomutan Historical Park Directorate as a "Zafer (Victory) Museum"
Bolvadin Museum : It is located in the centre of district Bolvadin. It was first built as a cinema but then used as a Municipality Culture Centre. In 1987 it was arranged and opened to public as a musum. First the archaeological remains were collected at the museum. Then various remains were found and taken to the museum and a rich collection was formed.
There re cultural remains of Old Bronze Age, Rome ,Byzantium, Seljuk, Ottoman and Republic periods, traditional clothes and ethnographical goods are exhibited.
Dumlupinar Museum :It is in the district dumlupinar which is in the 59 km. southwest of Afyon. Its construction was started in 1990 and finished in 1995. It was opened to the public officially in 1997. It is two storeyed.
